Monster wood-cutting machine

Creating quality, beautiful and functional wood furniture is a difficult task. This is a process where processing of materials is synchronized with their careful combining. But everything starts from raw power. Literally.

In most cases, raw material needs to be cut out. A power task to be done by woodworking machines. At Technomebel, from April 24th to April 28th, visitors can see with their own eyes the 4-ton beast MEBOR HTZ 1000, presented by Progress Technik.

Live demonstrations

“This is a premium machine for woodworking,” says Lyudmil Rusinov, commercial representative of the company. The Slovenian MEBOR HTZ 1000 easily cuts huge logs in different sizes of planks and boards.

Within Technomebel, the company carries out daily live demonstrations with the machine. In front of the curious visitors, in just a couple of moments, the huge logs are transformed into perfectly cut out boards and beams.

Processing up to 25 m3 wood per day

The machine is powered by electricity with an 45kW engine. The automatic hydraulic system feeds the raw material. After that , it is cut out with the help of stellite band saw , where which the blades are hardened by a cobalt and chromium alloy. “In this way cutting is smoother and extremely qualitative,” says Lyudmil Rusinov. The belt diameter is 1000 mm, the width is 105 mm and the maximum length is 6200 mm. For a simpler and faster workflow, a feeder is mounted to move the cut-out boards and beams.

This woodworking “beast” can process the impressive 25 m of wood only within 7-8 hours. The machine is designed for both soft and hard wood. Thus, it can process oak, beech, pine, spruce and more.
