Furniture industry representatives convene from 24 to 28 April
This year the visitors at Technomebel and World of Furniture – Bulgaria’s biggest furniture industry exhibitions – can once again take advantage of the Hosted buyers program. For another year in a row the programme will provide conditions for the business to develop by creating new contacts and implementing В2В meetings.
Technomebel enjoys again strong interest among international companies. In addition to Bulgarian companies most of which will present products of leading names in the industry, the exhibition will also feature firms from Italy, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Portugal and Poland. Over 90% of the exhibitors in the World of Furniture are Bulgarian producers. Companies from Ukraine, Turkey, Romania will also joint in this year.
More than 30 representatives of foreign companies from Armenia, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Georgia, Canada, Romania, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland joined the programme in 2017. Technomebel and World of Furniture create opportunities for positioning and development of the business in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The high added value of the exhibitions is proven also by the business representatives who visited the forum outside the Hosted buyers program. Exhibitors were visited by business representatives from Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, India, Israel, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Macedonia, Moldova, Russia, the USA, Serbia, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Finland.
Exhibitions which are a meeting place for experts
Every year Technomebel and World of Furniture become a meeting place for architects, interior designers, representatives of furniture producers and wholesale and retail chains, producers of machines for the industry, experts, innovators and specialists in the branch, as well as end customers.
Characterised as an industry of both tradition and innovation in Bulgaria, according to statistics the annual value of the Bulgarian production in the furniture sector amounts to EUR 500 million, generating added value of more than 2.5%. “The sector is steady, the interest of foreign clients is sustainable, our companies produce furniture for the whole of Europe”, commented Galin Gospodinov – Chairman of the Branch Chamber of Wood and Furniture Industry in Bulgaria. In his words, 30-35% of the production generated in the country is exported abroad.
