From 2020, international exhibitions for the furniture industry will be arranged as an autonomous format
While approaching the new 2020, the businesses both locally and abroad, take stock of the past 12 months. Focusing on the furniture industry, in the last days of 2019, we can confirm: changes are awaiting us in the very beginning of 2020. Because in the first year of the new decade, the two fundamental business formats – the international exhibitions The World of Furniture and Technomebel, will be held independently. This will happen between 18-21 and 27-30 April 2020, respectively.
The desire to build an even more sustainable business platform, an opportunity to refine upward trends, the increasing interest in visiting and participating of companies from Bulgaria and abroad in recent years have been the main reasons for this decision. "In this way, Technomebel and The World of Furniture will be able to bring even more benefits to the business. Each of the two exhibitions will be able to develop its potential", the organizers comment.
The last joint edition attracted over 12 000 visitors from Bulgaria and abroad. All the exhibition halls of Inter Expo Center were very busy. Over 190 companies from Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine deployed their stands on nearly 15 000 sq. m. They exhibited machines, technologies, materials, furniture, textiles and decorations of more than 450 world brands. The Conceptual Talks Forum was held for the first time, attended by more than 180 people. Also, owners and Managing Directors of 47 companies from 19 countries from Europe and Asia arrived under the program Hosted buyers.
The World of Furniture 2020
From 18 to 21 March the exhibition The World of Furniture will bring together different styles of classic and modern furniture, boutique and designer furniture. The exhibition will be a venue for manufacturers, distributors and representatives of different brands with prospective business partners from the country and abroad. The independent holding of The World of Furniture makes it possible to incorporate new themes and develop the accompanying program. Since the latest edition has registered 50% growth of the foreign participation, the platform will be able to expand its international character through its new business format.
The profile of The World of Furniture includes: cabinet furniture and upholstered furniture, mattresses and mattress frames, tables and chairs, office furniture, interior textiles, etc.
Technomebel 2020
Since 2020, Technomebel will be held every next year. "This would give exhibitors the opportunity to present global innovations from Interzum and Ligna in an appropriate manner to producers, designers and architects. The new format will promote Technomebel as one of the leading exhibitions for the industry in the Balkans, turning it into a focal point for the businesses in Eastern Europe ", the organizers commented.
The larger exhibition areas and the independent advertising campaign will help to develop the full potential of the themes at Technomebel, including the following profiles: woodworking machines and equipment, furniture manufacturing materials, tools, consumables and painting equipment, machines and materials for upholstering of furniture, furniture hardware, parts and mechanisms, adhesives, varnishes, etc.
